Jan Stanisław Ciechanowski is a historian, lecturer at the Historical Institute of the University of Warsaw, former head of the Office for War Veterans. His research deals with the history of the 20th century, with a particular focus on Polish-Spanish relations. He wrote, among others, a monograph on Poland’s position on the Civil War in Spain, as well as about the contribution of Polish intelligence to the Allied victory in World War II.
